We are a Spirit Filled Church teaching principles of spiritual growth from Genesis to Revelation. Our church is an affiliate of Christ Gospel Churches International located in Jeffersonville, Indiana under the leadership of our Founder and Director,
Rev. B.R. Hicks. We believe it is no accident that you have come across our online ministry. It is our prayer that you will be blessed and encouraged by the contents of our webministry!

Our journey as a church and pastoral ministry started in 1979 as Praise Temple Church with our immediate family members. Although we began with a small congregation, the Lord met us in every service, with souls being saved, healed, and delivered by the power of God!

We became the Christ Gospel Church of Fayetteville in 1981 and the Lord has blessed us with incredible growth both spiritually and naturally. Our church is shepherded by Dr. John L. Godbolt and Co-Pastor Vertell Godbolt. While they are both noted local educators in the Cumberland County Public School System, we are blessed to have been led by these servant leaders for over 25 years.

THE MISSION OF THE CHRIST GOSPEL CHURCH OF FAYETTEVILLE IS TO MAXIMIZE THE QUALITY OF LIVING IN OUR COMMUNITY, WHILE MAINTAINING THE MORAL VALUES EXPRESSED IN THE WORD OF GOD. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY PARTICIPATING AND INVOLVING THE ENTIRE MEMBERSHIP IN THE BUILDING PROCESS OF THE TOTAL MAN: BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT.
