2 Chronicles 15:3

"Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law."

The ministry of Dr. John and Vertell Godbolt can only be described by this verse of scripture from God's Word. They are "Teaching Priests." Although Dr. and Mrs. Godbolt are seasoned veterans in the public system, they both are servants of God called for this hour.

Pastor Godbolt is a husband, father, teacher, pastor, grandfather, son, brother, friend, community activist, and the list goes on. His undergraduate and Masters degrees were received from Fayetteville State University. The Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree was received from South Carolina State University. The Ph D., with a concentration in Christian Counseling, was received from the International Seminary in Plymouth Florida. Dr. Godbolt has shown us how education and salvation can join and enhance one's life for the Kingdom's sake.

Dr. Godbolt is a retired educator and CEO of Eagle's Nest Leadership Development Group. He is also a conference speaker, a leadership development facilitator, a family life counselor, and revivalist. Pastors John and Vertell Godbolt are the founders of "Partners In Marriage," originated in 1980.

In addition to his many roles, Dr. Godbolt is also the Elder of Christ Gospel Churches International District 2, with the members of the Christ Gospel Church of Fayetteville as his central focus. He definitely leads by example!

Dr. John and Mrs. Vertell T. Godbolt have been married since 1973. To their union were added two children and four grandchildren.
